How credits work
AI generations in Bandicam AI Studio — videos, images, audio, effects and tools — are paid for with credits. Planning and script writing with the free writing models in Super Director and Super Narrator are free within their usage limits, and so are panning, editing and local export in Super Narrator. You see the cost before you start, and credits for a failed generation are returned automatically.
Types of credits

All of them add up to one balance, which is shared by bandicam.ai, the AI features in the Bandicam app, and AI assistants you connect through MCP.
How much a generation costs
Each model and tool has its own pricing, which varies based on what you request — for example, the video’s length and resolution, the number of images generated, or the duration of an audio file. The credit cost is shown before you press Generate and updates as you change settings.
When credits are charged
- You start a generation. The credits are set aside from your balance right away.
- The result finishes. The set-aside credits are used. For tools priced by media length, such as transcription, the final charge follows the measured length.
- The generation fails. If it fails with an error, is blocked by the content safety filter, is cancelled or expires, the credits go back to your balance automatically, with their original expiry date.
A result that finishes but isn’t what you hoped for is not refunded, because the AI still did the work. Try a different prompt or model instead.
What the credit statuses mean
The Credits column in the Activity Log shows where each generation stands:

| Consumed | The result finished and the credits were used. |
| Refunded | The generation failed, was blocked, cancelled or expired, and the credits were returned. |
| Not charged / No charge / Included | Nothing was taken from your balance for this item. |
| Cancelled | The request was stopped before it was charged. |
Which credits are used first
Bonus credits are used first, followed by subscription credits, and then purchased credits. The type comes first: a pack that expires tomorrow is still used after subscription credits that expire later. Within each type, the credits that expire soonest are used first. Expired credits are removed and can’t be used.
Checking your balance and history
Your balance is shown at the top of every AI Studio page. Click on it, or open bandicam.ai/credits, to see:
- How many subscription and bonus/purchased credits you have, and when they expire
- Credit Usage History — every charge, refund, grant and expiry, with your remaining balance after each

Frequently asked questions
Does a Bandicam license include AI credits?
No. A Bandicam or Bandicut license doesn’t include AI Studio credits.
Can I transfer credits to another account?
No. Credits can’t be transferred, shared between accounts, resold or exchanged for cash.
What happens to my credits if I cancel my plan?
You can keep using your subscription credits until the end of the period you paid for; after that they expire. Purchased and bonus credits are not affected.
