How to Blur Your Screen While Recording

Use Bandicam to hide faces, account numbers, passwords, or other sensitive information in your screen recording. You can add or remove blur before or during recording.

Steps to Blur Parts of Your Screen

Use the blur icons to add up to three areas. Resize and move each area separately to hide information in different parts of the screen.

Step 1. Download and install Bandicam, then launch it.

Step 2. Choose a recording area and click the blur icon.

• Rectangle area: Select the area to record, then click the blur icon on the recording window.

• Fullscreen: Move the mouse to the top of the screen to show the control bar, then click the blur icon.

Step 3. Adjust the blur area's size and position.

• Resize: Drag an edge or corner of the blur area to cover the content you want to hide.

• Move: Drag from the center of the blur area to change its position.

Step 4. Click ● REC to start and ■ Stop to finish recording.

You can click the blur icons to add or remove blur during recording.

Step 5. Play the recorded video to check the blur.

Once you stop recording, the Bandicam video player will open automatically. Play the video to check that the sensitive information is covered.

• Transcribe: Transcribe the video to text.
• Edit: Trim the recorded video or make further edits.
• Upload: Upload the video to YouTube, Google Drive, or Vimeo.

You can also go to Home > Videos, select a recording, and click Play to open it. Click the folder icon at the top to open the output folder.
