How to Trim a Video on Windows

Bandicam 2027 lets you trim recorded videos using its built-in video editor. Open a recording in the built-in player and click Edit to remove unnecessary parts. To use this feature, download and install Bandicam 2027 Beta.

Steps to Trim a Video

To trim a recorded video using Bandicam, follow these steps:

Step 1. Start recording your screen, webcam, gameplay, or audio only.

Step 2. When you stop recording, the Bandicam built-in player will open automatically.

To open the Bandicam built-in player manually, go to the Videos or Audios tab, select a file, and click Play.

Step 3. Click Edit in the player to start trimming.

Step 4. Drag sliders to select your desired segment, then click Export to save it.

  • Your trimmed video will be saved as an MP4 file. Audio recordings will remain in MP3 or WAV format.
  • HW (Hardware Acceleration) is enabled by default for fast video processing, but you can disable it if needed.

Step 5. Review the trimmed video file.

Play the trimmed video to check it. If needed, use the following options:

  • Transcribe: Transcribe the video to text.
  • Edit: Trim the recorded video or make further edits.
  • Upload: Upload the video to YouTube, Google Drive, or Vimeo.

In the Videos tab, you can open the output folder or view the video files. The original file is kept, and a new trimmed file has _exported added to its name.

1. Can I trim videos with the free version of Bandicam?

Yes. You can trim and export videos with the free version of Bandicam, but the exported video will include a watermark. To export videos without a watermark, you need to purchase Bandicam 2027.


2. Can I export trimmed videos in formats other than MP4?

No. Bandicam exports trimmed videos as MP4 files. If you need to save or convert videos to other formats such as MP4, AVI, WEBM, or MKV, try Bandicut.
