How to record a PowerPoint, PowerPoint presentation

You can easily create a video lecture or presentation by recording your PowerPoint slide show with a webcam. With Bandicam Screen Recorder, you can record your PowerPoint screen and webcam together.

Please follow the steps below to record a PowerPoint:

  1. Download and Run Bandicam Screen Recorder.

  2. Check the sound devices to record PowerPoint presentation with audio.

    • Record computer sound + voice together: Select (Default Output Device) and (Default Input Device).
    • Record voice only: Select Disable speaker, and (Default Input Device) as a microphone.

  3. Select the Fullscreen option in Bandicam to record a slide show.

    To keep track of your recording status, check the "Always show control bar."

  4. (Optional) Exclude Bandicam related windows from recording.

    • If you check the "Exclude Bandicam related windows from recording" option, Bandicam windows will not be recorded.
    • Note: This feature is available on Windows 10 or above and Bandicam version 7.1.0 or higher.

  5. To add a webcam overlay, click the webcam icon.

    • If you want to show and hide the webcam screen while recording, check "Save webcam video as separate file" and "Enable preview toggle hotkey (Tab key)."

    • In Advanced settings, you can set the size, position, and shape of the webcam screen.

  6. Now, start your PowerPoint slide show and click the [ REC ] button to start recording.

  7. Additional tip for webcam: Adjust your webcam(face) screen while recording.

    If you hover your mouse over the webcam screen while recording, you will see icons to adjust the webcam screen.

    • Enlarge your webcam screen and return it to its original size by clicking on the fullscreen toggle icon.

    • Move your facecam screen by clicking on the drag icon.

  8. You can finish recording by clicking the [] button.

  9. Click on the video icon to check the recorded PowerPoint presentation video.

    By recording your PowerPoint slide show with your face in the above way, you can easily create lecture videos, presentation materials, project videos, etc.



Additional Tips

1. Record or highlight a mouse pointer while recording PowerPoint

Bandicam's 'Mouse Effects' feature allows you to record the mouse cursor or record it with effects applied to the mouse cursor.

2. Draw on slides during a presentation

You can simultaneously draw lines, boxes, or highlights while recording a PowerPoint presentation.

3. Remove black bars in PowerPoint Slideshow

If you have PowerPoint 2010 and earlier, the default slide size is 4:3, so there will be black margins on both sides when you do a slide show.

To remove the black parts on both sides, go to the Design tab, change the slide size to 16:9, or set the width to 33.867cm and height to 19.05cm to make the PowerPoint slideshow appear full without the black bars.
