Problems and solutions according to recording flow:



[Step 1] Failed to download and install

If you can't download Bandicam,
1) Try other web browsers such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.
2) Disable anti-virus programs or toolbar programs.
3) Try old versions of Bandicam or Bandicam 2.3.1.

If Bandicam freezes while installing, uncheck the "Debug" option, and try it again.


[Step 2] Failed to start Bandicam, it won't open

If Bandicam doesn't start, please try the solutions below:

1. Click the "bdcam_safemode" shortcut to start Bandicam in Safe Mode

Go to the inatallation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Bandicam), and click the "bdcam_safemode" shortcut to start Bandicam in Safe Mode which disables some features of Bandicam.

2. Uninstall/Reinstall graphics card drivers

If Bandicam doesn't start, uninstall graphics card driver completely and then reinstall the latest graphics card driver.

3. Uninstall/Reinstall Bandicam and uncheck "compatibility mode"

Uninstall Bandicam -> Restart your computer -> download the latest version of Bandicam -> uncheck "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and try it again.

4. Disable suspicious programs or copy-protection programs

If Bandicam started and then disappeared, it must be a compatibility issue with other programs such as anti-virus programs or copy-protection programs. Please uninstall copy-protection programs or end suspicious programs from Task Manager of Windows.

5. Uncheck the "Debug" option if Bandicam freezes

If Bandicam freezes at the User Account Control window, press "Windows Key + R" -> type "msconfig" -> Boot -> Advanced options... -> and uncheck the Debug option.


[Step 3] Bandicam crashes/freezes when I start recording

If you see the "bdcam.exe has stopped working" or "Failed to initialize codec" error message when you start recording, please try the solutions below:

1. Choose the "Xvid" video codec

2. Reinstall Bandicam and your graphics card driver

If Bandicam crashes/freezes, uninstall Bandicam and graphics card driver completely and then reinstall the latest version of Bandicam and the latest graphics card driver.

3. Others...

- Change the output folder to another folder such as "C:\Bandicam".
- Go to 'Recording settings' of Bandicam, and uncheck the 'Record sound, Add webcam overlay to video, Use enhanced capture method' option.
- Please check if you can take a screenshot (.JPG) through Bandicam. If you can't take a screenshot, it might be a problem with a copy-protection program. Please uninstall copy-protection programs or end suspicious programs from Task Manager of Windows.


[Step 4] Bandicam crashes/freezes/stops while recording or when I stop recording

1. It might be a problem with your graphics card driver

If Bandicam crashes/freezes/stops while recording, uninstall Bandicam and graphics card driver completely and then reinstall the latest version of Bandicam and the latest graphics card driver.

2. It might be a problem with the video codec

- Please choose the "Xvid" video codec.
- If you use the "H.264 (NVIDIA NVENC)" codec, Bandicam can freeze if you selected CBR instead of VBR.
- If you use the "H.264 (Intel Quick Sync Video)" codec, the recording can stop automatically.
