How to adjust the volume while recording



Case 1. Mute the speaker (audio) and microphone sound during recording

You can mute the audio and microphone while recording so that no sound is recorded, even though you can still hear the audio yourself.

  • If you click the speaker/microphone icon during recording, the computer audio/microphone sound will not be recorded.

  • The Mute Speakers hotkey is Ctrl + Alt + S, and Mute Microphone is Ctrl + Alt + M. These hotkeys can be customized.
    Go to the General tab -> Advanced -> click on the Hotkeys menu to change them.

Case 2. How to adjust the recording volume while recording

You can control the recording sound by right-clicking on the speaker icon in the taskbar.

  • Select “Open Volume mixer” -> change the volume for individual apps by dragging the volume slider up or down.

[Additional Tip] Record PC sound normally even when on low system volume

  • When you lower the system volume to 1, some computers will record the sound at a normal volume regardless of the system setting, while others will record it at volume 1, according to the system setting.
  • Note: The results may differ depending on the computer. We recommend that you test it out first.

  • If the sound is recorded low, click the speaker icon in Bandicam -> increase the volume to 200% and try recording again.

Please check the Bandicam and Windows sound settings if the recorded sound is too low or too loud.

go to Bandicam's Video Tab -> Settings -> Sound Settings (Windows Sound Settings) -> [Communications] tab -> select "Do nothing."
