Webcam overlay: Mac Screen & Webcam Recording

Bandicam allows for simultaneous recording of your Mac screen and a webcam feed, creating a Picture-in-Picture or facecam effect. This webcam overlay feature is available for both 'Selected Area' and 'Full screen' recording modes.

Adding a Webcam Overlay

The easiest way to add your webcam is by clicking the Webcam icon in Bandicam before you start recording.

Step 1. Click the webcam overlay icon and choose a recording mode: Selected Area or Full screen.

Step 2. Adjust your webcam overlay screen.

Adjust your webcam Picture-in-Picture (PIP) display by dragging its edges or moving it with your mouse.

Advanced Webcam Settings

For more customization, navigate to Settings → Overlay. In this section, you can:

• Select Webcam Device: Choose your preferred camera from the webcam device list.
• Mirror / Flip vertically: Check the boxes to horizontally mirror or vertically flip your webcam view.

Webcam Not Appearing?

This typically stems from a permissions problem or an incorrect device choice. Please do the following:

• Check Permissions: Allow Bandicam camera access via Mac System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.
• Select the Correct Device: In Bandicam's Settings → Overlay, choose the correct camera from the webcam device dropdown.
