We would like to gather a bit more information to help identify the cause of the issue. Could you please provide the following details?
1. Which version of Bandicam are you currently using?
2. Is Crimson Desert running in Vulkan or DirectX 12 mode?
3. Does it work in Screen Recording mode?
4. Could you confirm your system specifications (CPU, GPU, and RAM)?
With this information, we can better understand the problem and assist you. We look forward to hearing from you.
We’d like to ask a few additional questions to help narrow down the cause:
1. Do you have any overlays enabled (Steam, NVIDIA, Discord)? If so, please try disabling them and check again.
2. Which encoder are you using in Bandicam? If it's a GPU encoder, could you try H.264 (CPU) and see if the issue still occurs?
3. Does the crash happen every time you start recording in Game Recording mode?
4. Are you using the latest graphics driver?
We’ve also seen reports of similar crashes with this game on some systems (including AMD-based setups), so it’s not yet clear whether this is specific to Bandicam or related to the game/system environment.
Thank you for the update.
This issue may be related to DLSS 4’s Multi Frame Generation feature, which can sometimes cause compatibility issues with game recording.
As a workaround, we recommend disabling Multi Frame Generation. In many cases, this allows Bandicam’s Game Recording Mode to function properly without freezing.
Please follow the steps below:
1. How to Disable DLSS 4 (Upscaling)
If you prefer to play at native resolution without upscaling:
- Go to: Settings > Video (or Display)
- Find: Upscale Mode
- Set this option to Off or Native
2. How to Disable Multi Frame Generation Only (Recommended)
If you want to keep DLSS enabled but reduce input latency and improve compatibility:
- Go to: Settings > Video (or Display)
- Find: Frame Generation
- Set this option to Off
Note: In DLSS 4, you may also see options like 2x or 4x frame generation. Make sure to disable this setting completely to return to standard rendering behavior.
3. DLSS Ray Reconstruction Setting
This feature enhances image quality when ray tracing is enabled:
- Option: DLSS Ray Reconstruction
- Set to Off if you prefer better performance over stability
After applying the above settings, please try recording again using Bandicam’s Game Recording Mode and let us know the result.
Thank you for your testing and for sharing the results.
It appears that the issue is related to Multi Frame Generation.
We recommend keeping this option disabled when using Bandicam’s Game Recording Mode.
We will share this information with our development team.
