Bandicut won't work

Selecting safe mode using Bandicut 2024 results in same language error; with any attemt to click once it loads resulting in an error and crash. Also I noticed that the bandicut language folder itself is completely empty.

What language are you using when running Bandicut? If you’re seeing an error message, please send us a screenshot of it.

Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

1. As shown in the image below, go to the installation folder (C:\Program Files\Bandicut) and click the "uninstall.exe" file to completely remove the program.



2. Then, download Bandicut 2024. When reinstalling Bandicut 2024, please select English as the installation language.

After installing the directed version of bandicut; clicking on the settings in bandicut causes the program to crash instantly after which attempting to re-open bandicut gives a "can't load langauge file" error. Uninstalling and reinstalling has no effect on this. Going to 2018 versions of bandicut does not crash instantly but then it crashes when attempting to open a bandicam recording; so still doesn't work. 2018 version does not have hardware decoder option other than greyed out CPU option (no iGPU on my CPU). Attempting to re-open any version after crfash results in the same language file error. Program was always installed in English; even before the update that broke it in the first place.

Is the lang folder (C:\Program Files\Bandicut\lang) still completely empty even after reinstalling?

If the folder is empty, that is the direct cause of the crash. Bandicut cannot run without language files. This issue is almost always caused by Antivirus software or Windows Defender mistakenly identifying the files as a threat and removing (or blocking) them during installation.

Please follow these steps:

1. Temporarily disable your antivirus software or Windows Defender.
2. Reinstall Bandicut.
3. Check if the files now exist in the lang folder.
