Bandicut won't work

Upgraded to current version; still crashes. Uninstalling/reinstallings/changing codec/rebooting has no effect.

i9 10920X/32GB DDR4 3200/RTX 5090.

It might be a problem with the graphics driver.
Please uninstall the graphics driver completely.


Then, install the latest version of the graphics driver and try recording again.
If the problem persists, please provide more details, including your recording mode, recording target, and PC specs.

This did not work; issue persists regardless of file format used. ANY recording mode results in the same issue; as soon as a recorded bandicam file is selected in Bandicut then bandicut simples exits/disappears and is no longer shown in the open programs listr. This did not happen until I had to update bandicut due to a language error coming up when I would try to open bandicut. Now I can open the program but attempting to use it for its purpose makes it crash every time. I tried cleaering out all appdata files related to bandicut, but this also had 0 effect on fixing the issue. My copy of Windows 10 64bit is fully up to date.

Could you please check whether you are able to edit Bandicam files with Bandicut by running it in Safe Mode (bdcut_safemode.exe)?

Issue began this year; bandicut worked fine last year; no installing any version of bandicut will not work. 2.8.2.380 has this issue as does earliest version tried 2.8.2.380. Last version that worked would a be a 2023 version IIRC until it stopped working this year.

Also with the recommended 2024 version there is a weird language error that apparently is a persisting and unfixed error for quite a while now. Version 3.1.5.511 had the exact same issue.

I have also tried multiple GPUs and GPU driver versions; Titan X Pascal, RX 7900XT, RTX 2080Ti, RTX 3080Ti, RTX 4080 Super, RTX 5090 and multiple GPU driver versions. Windows 10 is fully up to date.

- A screenshot of the language error you encountered before updating Bandicut.
- Let us know if the crash happens only with Bandicam-recorded files, or also with other general video files.
- Please try installing Bandicut version 3.1.5 from https://www.bandicam.com/bandicut-video ... -versions/ and let us know if the issue persists.

Bandicut opens once after installation (in this case of 3.1.5) then if I try to edit a bandicam video with it, the application exits. If I attempt to relaunch Bandicut afterwords I get a "Can't load language file". The crashing is not limitesd to bandicam files; same thing happend with a non-bandicam mp4 video file.

We are sorry for the confusion.
The language error occurred because the language file for the language you selected was not supported in the older version you installed this time.

Regarding the crashing issue, it might be related to playback in the preview window when using the hardware decoder in Bandicut.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please reinstall the latest version of Bandicut and run it in Safe Mode.
Then, disable the two options related to the hardware decoder and check whether the issue still occurs:
- Use the hardware video render for playback
- Use the hardware video decoder
