Webcam overlay doesn't work with minecraft 1.21.1

I'm having issues with the webcam overlay not working. It works in other games.

Update: I meant to say the Webcam preview isn't working. It was the webcam overlay that wasn't working at first but that was caused by the camera AFAIK. If I turn off webcam preview in game then the recording works and nothing crashes. If I turn it on and then record in Minecraft it causes the game to crash.

Hello Rooflife,

To clarify: when recording Minecraft 1.21.1, the game crashes only when the Webcam Preview option is enabled, but it records normally when that option is disabled. Is that correct?

Also, do other games record fine with the Webcam Preview option ON?
Are you recording Minecraft in Game Recording mode or Screen Recording mode?
Do you encounter the same issue in both modes?
