The Tagalog.ini file is outdated and there are some texts that could use some translation.
This INI file I've made and attached provides a complete Filipino translation of the current version 8.1.0.2516. I have changed the title from "Tagalog" to "Filipino" as this is the official language of the Philippines and will be much more consistent with its government standards, education, and media.
Here also some notes that may be areas of interest while I was translating:
- In the section IDD_SCHEDULED_REC_LIST, IDC_ST_SREC_LIST_TEXT (Line 1414) is observed to have a limitation of 109 characters if displayed in Bandicam. The translation of this part has been changed accordingly to fit to this limitation.
- Some words (e.g., Mouse, Hotkey, etc.) are left in English form as some phrases are significantly easier for a Filipino to understand with the English language (Taglish).
- Some words such as arrow and special keys (e.g., Left, Up, Right, Down, Ctrl, Shift, etc.) are unchanged and still is in the English language as they are easier to be understood by a Filipino (Taglish).
- Punctuation and text casing from the English.ini file is followed as faithfully as possible.
- Comments of the file is unchanged as French.ini and other languages (in lang folder) that had been observed have not changed any.
I hope the info and the translation file would be useful. Cheers to this product and thank you for reading!
