Bandicam Quirks

Fri Nov 19, 2021 11:33 am

1) I realized that the executable is called "bdcam" not "bandicam"... WHY?

1a) Regardless of #1 can you make it such that if we search "bandicam" in windows start, your app will show up? Right now it doent show up.

2) Is there a way to select which GPU to use for nvenc? I cant find any such option... I am hoping that if i use GPU #2 for nvenc then i wont get fps drops when turning bandicam on.

3) would be nice to have a CPU x265 option, maybe save as x264 as per normal and have another process to parallel transcode the first x264 to x265. This will save time over manual transcoding to x265 only after the recording is over. The nvenc H.265 appears to be quality compromised.

Hello aCuria,

1.
The executable has been called "bdcam.exe" since its launch.
We have confirmed that Bandicam shows up when we search "bandicam" in Windows start.
We are not sure why it does not show up on your PC.

2.
You can select which GPU to use from the NVIDIA settings > GPU Usage > GPU device section.

3.
We have forwarded your request to our development team.

Thank you.
