Video file size / Texting

New to Bandicam and capturing / recording. My initial interest is to be able to record a short segment with low video / audio file size so the file can be sent via text. After the capture I assume I will need another software to achieve the small file size (not low quality) to achieve my objective.
I do not like sending or receiving a link, say to YouTube, because you have to sign in to view it.
Any help, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If what I would like to achieve is not possible just tell me.
I am 78 and this is new territory for me, however I am reasonable handy with computers / software.
