Can i turn on/off the microphone in the middle of recording?

Mon Sep 09, 2024 3:48 pm

I have classes on zoom, usually I turn off mic to avoid noise (like answering phone) and only turn on mic when presenting. If bandicam has a similar feature, I can record the class with mic off, and turn on mic (when needed) to record my presentation. Currently I record the class but can't record my presentation.

Hello khuongqn2003,

If you click the speaker/microphone icon on Bandicam's main window during recording, the computer audio/microphone sound will not be recorded.

For more information, please refer to the following page: https://www.bandicam.com/how-to-adjust- ... recording/

Additionally, you may want to use the Push to Talk / Push to Mute function when using a secondary sound device.

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply.
Wow, This feature is there, I just haven't discovered it yet. I usually disable the microphone when I start recording so I didn't know about it. Sorry for asking question without any research.

I found that if I disable the microphone at the beginning of a recording, I can't enable the microphone mid-recording.
Sometimes I rush to start recording while the microphone is disabled, and then I can't enable the microphone for the entire recording. I would love it if the developer change this feature, enable the microphone mid-recording no matter what it was at the beginning.

Hello khuongqn2003,

Please note that you can adjust the volume or mute it during recording, and these changes will apply to the current recording.
However, enabling or disabling the microphone device will only take effect in the next recording.

Thank you.
