Bandicam problem working with Minecraft.

Fri Mar 24, 2023 3:40 am

I've had great success with Bandicam until I tried to use it to record Minecraft, specifically modded Minecraft. Minecraft works fine by itself, but when I add Bandicam to the equation, the game becomes unplayable. It freezes up after only a few minutes of play and it glitches something in the video card causing the screen to flicker. My only option is to restart the computer.

Once I restart, everything works fine, the computer, Minecraft, even Bandicam. It's only when I try to mix Minecraft and Bandicam that the issue occurs.

I'm using a Geforce RTX 3070 (for laptop)

Any help would be appreciated. I'm not sure what information would help, but I'm happy to provide any that's necessary.

Thanks

Hello Volkner,

Which Minecraft mod did you try recording?
Do you have the same issue when you select the H264(CPU) codec?

We look forward to your reply.

Thank you.

It sounds like you're facing performance issues when using Bandicam with modded Minecraft, particularly on your Geforce RTX 3070 laptop. Modded Minecraft can be resource-intensive, and adding screen recording software like Bandicam may overload your system.

Here are a few tips to improve performance:

1. Lower Minecraft Settings: Try reducing the video settings (like render distance, particles, and graphics) in Minecraft. Modded versions are already heavier, so freeing up some resources might help.

2. Bandicam Settings: Adjust Bandicam's settings by lowering the recording resolution and frame rate. You can also try recording in "Game Mode" instead of "Screen Mode," which is more optimized for games like Minecraft.

3. Update Drivers: Ensure your graphics drivers are up-to-date, as this might help prevent crashes and flickering issues.

4. Try Another Recording Software: If the issue persists, consider testing other screen recorders to see if the problem is specific to Bandicam.

If you're using Minecraft APK for Android, you might face fewer performance issues, but recording mods on PC often demands more fine-tuning. Let me know if you need more help with settings or mods!
