Bandicam - Home

The Bandicam window allows the capturing of games/streaming videos that use the DirectX/OpenGL graphics technologies, as well as configuring the main settings related to Bandicam.

Bandicam - Overview

  • You can open the register window, output folder, online help page.
  • You can select the recording modes (Screen Recording, Game Recording, Device Recording).
  • You can check the mouse/microphone status, duration of the video, file size and the maximum recordable size.
  • You can click the record/stop/pause button and image capture button.
  • You can configure the Bandicam settings and use more advanced functions.

You can change the Bandicam window size (50% to 250%) with the DPI scaling function.

You can minimize Bandicam to the taskbar or the system tray.

To always check the recording status of Bandicam, add the Bandicam icon to the system tray (notification area).

This 'Home' tab allows the user to check the whole recording modes and check the recorded videos/images.

Bandicam, Home: Get Started

  • Rectangle area: You can record a partial area in the rectangle window.
  • Fullscreen: You can record the whole screen of your display.
  • Around mouse: You can record around the mouse cursor being moved by the user over the desktop screen.
  • Game recording: You can record gameplay while showing FPS.
  • Device recording: You can record external video devices such as a Webcam, Xbox, Smartphone, IPTV, etc.
  • Online help: You can open the FAQ page of Bandicam

  • You can move to the Get Started, Video or Image tab.
  • The output path is displayed. Click the path to see the captured files with Wndows Explorer.
  • The captured videos/images can be sorted by date, name and size.
  • The resolution of videos/images, FPS, codec, recording time and file size are displayed.
  • The captured videos can be shown by the default media player or image viewer program.
  • The captured video can be cut/edited by the fast and lossless video cutter called Bandicut.
  • The captured videos/images can be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo from Bandicam.
