Bandicam error message: Failed to create file

When the Bandicam can't save the recording file, you may see the 'Failed to create file' error message.

1. Change the saving folder of the Bandicam

When you set the saving folder in the USB storage device or Network drive, sometimes, you can't access to the saving folder.
Solution: Click [...] button under the General tab, and change the saving folder to the "Desktop" or "My Documents" folder.

2. Windows 7/Vista user

2.1 Cannot save files to C: even after making sure I'm the administrator.

When you use Windows 7/Vista, you can't save the recorded file in a certain folder which you don't have a writing authority.
Solution: Click [...] button under the General tab, and change the saving folder to the "Desktop" or "My Documents" folder.

2.2 Cannot record Internet Explorer with DirectX/OpenGL window mode

When you use UAC (User Account Control) in Windows Vista/7/8, you can't record a web browser with 'DirectX/OpenGL window' mode of Bandicam

Solution 1: Use the 'Rectangle on a screen" capture mode of the Bandicam


Solution 2: Right-click the icon (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox), and then click "Run as administrator"

3. Reinstall Bandicam

If you still have the same problem, uninstall Bandicam and download the latest version of Bandicam from http://www.bandicam.com/downloads/
