* What is Multi-core processor?

A multi-core processor is a single computing component with two or more independent actual processors (called "cores"), which are the units that read and execute program instructions.

- Dual-core: A dual-core processor has two cores (e.g. AMD Phenom II X2, Intel Core Duo)

- Quad-core: A quad-core processor contains four cores (e.g. AMD Phenom II X4, intel's quad-core processors)

- This option will be automatically unchecked in a single or dual-core processor.

- When you use this option with Hyper-Threading Technology in a quad-core processor, the archiving speed will be 6 times faster.

- When you use this option without Hyper-Threading Technology in a quad-core processor, the archiving speed will be 3 times faster.

- When you use this option in a dual-core processor, the archiving speed will be 1.5 times faster.

- If your hard disk drive is slow, the compression speed can be slower.

- If you compress a lot of small files, the compression speed can be slower.
